This was a special treat. We went to Southfork Ranch this afternoon. We arrived in Dallas early afternoon. Nearby is the actually Southfork Ranch that we all enjoyed watching "Dallas" many years ago. We learned that there wasn't any filming done on the inside of the house for the show, that was all done in California. The scenes of Sue Ellen falling into the pool off the balcony when drunk, the breakfasts that were held outside, and any other scenes that were taken outside around the ranch were actually here at Southfork.

Do you remember the breakfast table outside. This is it. But they didn't sit here in the cold weather.

Well as you can see we made it to Arkansas today. But we were disappointed that when we got to Texas there was road construction and no "Welcome to Texas sign". Oh well we knew we were here.

We are on Route 30 at Mount Pleasant staying at a KOA Park for the night, about 120 miles from Dallas. It isn't like our Mount Pleasant in Michigan, we haven't seen a casino here.
