Last picture of this big climb we did up the hill.

Well we made our trip from Winterhaven, CA/Yuma, AZ area to Jamul, CA (near San Diego, CA). Everything went really well. We actually put the truck to a good test. We had an area that we went from sea level to 3000 feet above sea level in about 10 miles. Ended up at 4190 above sea level. It was a beautiful drive over here. The truck passed the test.

We do have a problem with the campground we are at FOR TWO WEEKS. We don't have any cell phone or internet services. I guess we could pay for the internet, but I opted to bring computer into town to say HI. At this point I do have some beautiful pictures from our trip over here, but will wait until another day to try to put them on here. No electric from sitting in the truck. LOL

We had a beautiful wonderful day today, with more pictures. We went to San
Diego Sea World. It was about 76 degrees and no breeze. It sounds like more Sana Winds are coming in tomorrow. Time will tell

We went to "The Peanut Patch" this morning. They gave a tour of how peanuts are grown and then ended up with making peanut butter. They also make peanut brittle and fudge on site. They have a lot of peanuts shelled and in shell for sale too.

We were surprised when we seen the advertising for peanuts in Arizona. Didn't know they grew them here. At this point they don't grow them here anymore. They had a bug get into them when growing them here, so back in 1997 the farmers had to stop growing them here.

I think I arranged the pictures a little out of order from what they should be.

This is the machine used to make peanut butter. They don't put anything in the peanut butter, but peanuts. No preservatives, sugar, no salt. We sampled the peanut butter, it is grainy not like what we are use to. We didn't buy any to bring home.

These machines are used to roast 150 pounds of peanuts at a time.

After leaving "The Peanut Patch" we went to the "Arizona Marketplace". With wearing this sweatshirt (birthday present from Laura) to the flee mark I got a lot of conversation about "where in Michigan are you from". One guys hollered "I like your sweatshirt", I turned around and he had "Ohio State". I said sure you do. He said oh no, you are Big Ten and that's what is important. LOL
