Well, this is as close as we want to get to snow. We went away yesterday, later afternoon, but didn't see the snow on the mountains. We believe we are looking at the San Gabriel Mountains. They are beautiful. I'm sure we will see other great pictures of snow on the mountain tops tomorrow on our way to our next Campground.

We had quite a surprised today. We received a phone call from the State Police Post at home. They, Monroe County Sheriff Department, believe they have caught the horrible people that broke into our garage this past October. They want us to come to Monroe Sheriff Department when we get home to identify the stuff they have. They have a lot of stuff that has been stolen from many residences. They don't have a problem with us being away and it will be awhile before we can be there. Such good news. Hopefully they have some of our stuff.

So we head out to Indio, CA tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing another area.

The snow didn't fall here at this area, we really didn't think it would snow here. We did get a little sleet late morning. California did get excited to have the snow. I believe they said San Franciso hadn't gotten any snow in 30 years. We are near the LA area. Mainly around here the snow fell as low as 1000 to 1500 ft. Last night we heard one of the mountains got 30" and another got 45" of snow.

Last night we went out for dinner and to the show "Hall Pass". It was a very funny adult movie - LOL.

Well big decision this morning. We are suppose to leave here on Saturday to go to Banning, CA. This is located 3500 ft into the mountains. With the possibilty of snow (down to 1000 to 1500 ft) and cold weather for California we decided not to travel on Saturday.

We had to do some shuffling of our reservations. This is normally hard to do with so many RV's and our membership campgrounds has a lot of members. But we were able to do some changes. We are staying in Corona until Monday.

Thursday, Feburary 24, 2011 -- We had a very good day with Jack & Charlyn. They use to live next door to Laura on Willis Road. They moved out here this past summer and we have missed them as neighbors. We were really surprised when we got their Christmas Card and found out they lived about 40 miles from where one of our stops.

We had a great time with them today. Besides the pictures that you can see. We went to lunch with them at Huntington Beach out on a pier. What a nice restaurant and with it being out at the end of pier we had a great view of the ocean. The beaches are huge, couldn't believe how far the beach is from the shore to the water. They had volleyball nets set up all over the beach. There was young men playing volley ball on the beach and people surfing too. Charlyn said they have many volleyball tournaments.

Thank you Charlyn & Jack for the tour of your area. We really enjoyed ourself.

This is Jack & Charyln.

This is Jack & Charlyn's home. A very nice home. Really like the house, inside and out.

This is Bob & myself with the Queen Mary behind us. This is at Long Beach, California. It is just beautiful down here with all the shops and restaurants.
