Wow, what a great day we had today. There wasn't any wind and the sun and temperatures was great. We started out the day by walking the park, somewhere around 300 sites. There was some trailers that were participating in the "yard sale at your site". The temperature today reached 81 degrees. By the weatherman it should stay about the same all week. Let's see if he is right. LOL
Then in the afternoon we changed into swim suits and went to the hot tubs. It was really nice. I believe I mentioned that there are three tubs - 98, 100, and 104 degrees. Bob started in the 98 and worked his way up to the 104. Enjoyed talking with other retires about there travels. Then sat by the pool and dried in the sun.
A little later they are having a Ice Cream Social at the clubhouse. Plans are to walk up there and get a sundae. Not bad prices; $1.00 one scoop, $1.50 Sundae, $2.00 Rootbeer float, $3.00 for banana split. Sounds good.
Just heard on the news that they are going to simulate a underground earthquake in the San Andreas Fault. Needless to say it goes right thru this area. Oh dear doesn't that sound like fun.
Wish me luck I have found a lady in the park that does hair. So I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully it will be fine.

Around 10:00 last night the wind started slowing down. This morning it appeared to be kinda calm, but a little while later it picked up again. But nothing like yesterday. We didn't see any blowing sand today.
We went to breakfast at the club house today. Looked at the hot tubs. The temperature of the three are 98, 100, 104 degrees. There was a sign up about the hot mineral spring water that is in the pools. The hotest temperature of the water coming out of the ground is 142 degeees and they had gone down 265 feet. The farther they went down the cooler the water gets. Very interesting.
Went for a drive late after and ate at Applebees in Palm Desert, located on Frank Sinatra.

We made the move this morning for our next resort. It is very windy too. Bob says it is probably 50 to 60 miles per hour. This started about 3:00 yesterday and it has still been continuing. During our drive today there was blowing sand. It was so surprising how the clouds covered the top of the mountains and the blowing sand in places made seeing the mountains difficult.
So we are now at Desert Hot Springs. We will be here for two weeks. The name of this resort is Desert Pools RV Resort, named this way because this is the area of natural mineral springs. They have three hot tubs that are fed with hot natural mineral spring water. Each one is set at a different temperature. We haven't seen them yet because of the very windy weather. Hopefully I have understood the mineral spring waters here.
Regarding our Microwave problem: We have decided to live without the use of the microwave. As I remember we didn't use to have microwaves. The company we reached about our problem will send the part to our house. Bob can fix it after we get home. If I have a problem cooking ------ we will just eat out. LOL
