This picture is taken of Hotel Del Coronado at Coronado Island. They say the movie "Some like it hot" was filmed from this hotel. Marilyn Monroe starred in that movie.

Actually this hotel was the first hotel to have lights west of New York City. There wasn't any fresh water on the Island, but the builder was able to have lights with the help of generators. Of course the hotel wasn't as large as it is today.
